This year marks the 50th anniversary of the filming of Steven Spielberg's Jaws, shot in 1974 on location all over the Vineyard to bring to life the fictional Amity Island. To celebrate, the Edgartown Board of Trade is hosting events throughout the weekend as part of Amity Week. The Edgartown Library is partnering with a photo scan-a-thon to capture and archive photos taken during the movie's filming in order to share Jaws history with the public. Bring your photographs to the library anytime during open hours, and we'll scan them into a central database that will document this significant cinematic period in island history.
